Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

Just getting around to applying a fix to the issue I posted on April 6.
I removed the front passenger side window auto switch to find a brand or part number so I could ring wreckers tomorrow but then had what I thought was a great idea......I only use the rear seat compartment for my 2yo grandson in a baby seat so don't care if rear window can auto open from its switch.
So I removed the rear passenger side door switch and plugged it into socket of front passenger side door. Open and close it went ONCE only then it would not operate to open window.......now can't open from the passenger side...only close,,,,,, the same as the switch I replaced. Now I have both front and rear passenger side door switches that only work "close" from the passenger side but both work OK open and close from driver side master switch.

So me now thinks some wiring problem that is causing switch to go faulty............

your thoughts!!

Have you tried swapping the front passenger window switch and fitting it to the working rear door to see if it works fine there? That way you can clearly isolate the problem to be the front passenger door wiring.

Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

I ran into this bug last night. I haven't been doing anything like disconnecting the battery or pulling fuses, but discovered that the auto-up wasn't working.

Since I found this thread, I'm happy to report my auto-up is now working correctly. Thanks!

Hi,

Wife's window auto up works to. First go.

Even worked on daughters 2007 Tiida StL. Which buy the way, hadn't missed a beat except for a battery replacement last year.
