Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

Thanks... that was the "long" fix I referred too... thought it might help. Have put it in an email to the sales guy see if they'll attempt it. emoticon

posticon Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

Just did the 20 second trick on my 2012 ST-L model and it worked a charm. Nothing fancy, just an accurate finger and stopwatch. Now going up all by itself!

Great tip!

Re: Window Bug

What usually causes this problem is you press the all the way up & while your window is going up you turn off the ignition before the window gets all the way up. Like shutting a PC off at the PowerPoint half way through a job.

Re:

Simply disconnecting the battery will stop it going up.
It must have been a Gold Fish in it's previous life.

Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

I'm going thru the DIY guides......I'm not sure that I completely understand this 20 second hold switch for drivers window issue due to JP reply for a 2012 ST-L!

I have a 2010 ST-L. The 2 position Drivers side window switch works in both positions and in both the up and down actions.

i.e, with the window down, I pull the switch fully up and let go.....the window keeps automatically closing to fully closed position..(and the closing it in stages also works if only pull switch up the first position and repeating"

What is this 20 sec "trick" all about??? am I missing something and having another one of those senior moments...

cheers

Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

It is to reset it when the window is not automatically going up Dave. Sounds like yours is working fine so no need to worry about it.
If you ever disconnect the battery you will need to do the reset otherwise don't worry about it.

Re:

This forum rocks!!!!
I had my towbar added, and they had issues with some electrical stuff after, needing to troubleshoot lights at the back...
Noticed the auto windowup wasn't working and thought it may have been another electrical issue they didn't notice & fix, but the answer was here.
So Town & Country at Beverly Hills were very professional.
