Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

This bug is not restricted to X-Trails, and the fix worked for mine too.

It worked fine to start with but at the dealers they moved the electric brake controller at my request then probably had to disconnect the battery. Just beware that this bug might come back when you try and reset your ECU by disconnecting the battery.

Here you go Ron, you can now share the fix with other Pathfinder owners emoticon

Clever of you to try it out. Well done!

Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

Just found out it is in the manual under "Maintenance and do-it-yourself", vehicle battery section. It also has procedures for Sunroof and power door lock operation - maybe someone can check a T31 manual and post these.

Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

Does anyone know if there is a way to make all the windows close when the ignition is turned off, and when you double click the 'lock' on the remote?

Would be handy to have to be assured all the windows are closed when parking the car (i got caught out once leaving the sunroof open in the rain in the T30!)

If not, ill keep dreaming emoticon

Cheers,

Yep, check THIS DIY Guide. However this mod will not close all windows automatically when you turn off the ignition. The only way to do that is to incorporate this as a feature of an aftermarket alarm system where you can buy the window modules to do that (they cost about $50 each)

Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

I'm wondering if your window-up bug fix solution might solve my problem. When I press the auto-up switch on the driver window, the window does go up but when it hits the top of the frame it bounces back down to the half way point and stops. It's as if the "auto reverse" function (that ensures nothing is caught in the window) isn't set correctly; it as if it "thinks" something has been caught in the window. Do you think your solution is worth trying, or do I risk damaging the switch?

Thanks !

Nope, this solution won't fix your problem as the auto retract is a safety feature that shouldn't be disabled and it seems yours is working incorrectly or if there is something in the window channel stopping the window at the top. You gonna need to take it to the dealer to trouble-shoot.

Re: T31 X-Trail Auto window-up Bug

Hi Guys,

After disconnecting the battery the other day to wire up some Driving Lights, the auto up would not work. Saw this thread and gave it a go and I can confirm it does work for the T31 models. Also looked in the Owners Manual and no mention of this fix any where.

Cheers,
Andrew
