Re: Queensland Trip #10

I thought I would add a reply from QLD just to wrestle the thread back emoticon

I would love to come BUT I'll be either in NZ or just back and hopefully doing the cycle epic near toowoomba.

If I am not doing the epic I'd do the 25th.

Hi Jamie

I'm free for both weekends so I'll go with the majority. It looks like a good trip. Hope we get a few more takers.

That's great guys, good to see some action happening on this thread (other than the banter from thread hijackers down south ) emoticon

I am going to send a few emails and PM's over the next few day to generate some interest from the guys that don't get to check the forum often so hopefully we'll get a good turn up.

The 25th is certainly looking good and is of course my favoured day so I can bring the 'tin lids' along for the day.

One final thing, just a note on insurance for our events, please see this post (Here) so you are aware. There is lots of info there but most importantly, check with your insurance company. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks guys. emoticon

Re: Queensland Trip #10

Bad timing again. I'm off to Fraser with four other cars from the 24th to the 28th of August. First camping trip with the young fella so should be interesting. Just need to avoid those dingos! I'm also getting a pedders lift and cargo barrier before this trip.

Which trip is #9 exactly? I'm at work at the moment, but in any case I have the first edition of the dirty weekends book and I think a lot of the trips have changed.

Getting that lift for Fraser certainly is a great idea Jollyman.

I went there in February (standard x-trail) and did quite a bit of damage to the underbelly including two torn CV boots ($200 each to replace) and two bent rims.

At that time it was just so dry everything including the 6X6 tour bus in front of us was getting bogged which really gave my poor exy no hope.

Hopefully the recent rains up there have hardened the tracks up a bit.

Take a good shovel and recovery gear emoticon

As for the trip Blackthunda, I recon i'll be a goer and the 25th would be best for me as well.

Danny
