Show you how it's done

Here's a bit of Group B rally footage for everyone. I expect to see all the XTrail community doing footwork on the pedals like this next time they are driving through town!

Rohl and Audi Quattro S1

Keep an eye on how many people there are watching this rally and how close the to road they are - they're in the trees and up the power poles.
This is not "sped up" either.

Unfortunately I only have 2 pedals, but I do something like this with the foot rest at my disposal. I think it involves less hazardous consequences. hehehehe emoticon

Thats a great video and I love the 80's music!

I cant do that type of footwork on my car, the pedals are just not set up for it. I have to used an improvised way with the right side of my right foot to tap the accelerator. No heel-toe shifting for me.

That is insane! Before the days of health & safety, I remember watching rally stages on TV as a kid like that, spectators lining the side of the track and running across it! Then some people got killed as the cars got lighter and quicker, now they are kept back from the action and you don't see spectator numbers like that these days.

Left foot braking - have you ever tried that?? It is the funniest thing, all you can do is emergency stop!! emoticon

I once did a 1 day session at the Brands Hatch Rally School in the UK, it is probably the most fun I have ever had in a car ... except maybe this one time when .. nah, this is a family show! emoticon I will never forget, flooring this car up to 60km/h in 2nd approaching a 90 deg right hand bend, then the instructor telling me to turn left and throw it into 1st!! :o

I tried that at the xtrail drag race at Eastern Creek and for the very first time in my life. The safety guy that was lining us up gave me a weird look when he saw my car move forward a bit and then stop like I've pulled the handbrake, not knowing what I was doing with the pedals LOL emoticon

It takes a great deal of effort to getting used to, that's for sure.
