Re:

Thread revival...

Just replaced the motor in my T30 - Bought a new motor from Ali-Express ($[sign in to see URL] delivered)
before i fitted it, I swapped the bushes out and put in the bearings - as per the posts on here. Thanks for the post guys...

BUT.. The motor they sent me is the wrong one. It looks like they have sent me a LHD motor and not a RHD one as the fan turns the opposite way...

So, my question is - Can I reverse the two wires going into the motor in order to have it rotate the opposite direction ??

One is Red and the other is Blue / White trace.

I don't really want to have to wait to get the correct motor, then swap the bearings out again if I can help it, so any help would be appreciated...

Re: T30 Blower Fan (noises and relay replacement)

I doubt there would be a difference in the rotating direction of a fan motor for a LHD vehicle compared to a RHD vehicle, so I assume you mean the fan blades rotate counter-clockwise instead of clockwise ?

Can you install the fan motor flipped over ?

No, definitely mean the motor and not the fan blades..
The replacement motor i got spins clockwise, where as the motor that came out spins anticlockwise.

No, can not flip the fan over because it sits too high then and fouls on the cabin filter housing.

Yeah, it's only DC current, so you could switch the two wires around in the plug, and the motor will turn the opposite direction.

Re: blower fan bearing replacement

Finally got the blower housing out, but can you elaborate on what this picture is telling you to do? Is it just remove the retaining clip?

Also, any tips on how to get the motor out of the plastic housing? I’ve got this far, don’t want to F it up now! 😖
 Thanks in advance.

Yep, it's the removal of the retaining clips.

Re:

Hi All,
this is my first real post, so if I've put it in the wrong section, or if there's another, more suitable, thread that I missed, please feel free to let me know.

Firstly, thanks for all the info on the Resister, solved my problem with a lack of speeds 1-3 not [sign in to see URL] there's something else I've been searching all over for, and can't seem to find.

Two of the selectors on the actual ac dash unit (knobs, handles - whatever you want to call them!) have broken off, and I think I've glued them back on enough times to realize I should probably just replace the unit! Trouble is, I can't find mention of the replacement part, for the ST (non "climate control" version) anywhere on the net.

Does someone know the part number for this, and could anyone give me more information about what replacing it would involve?

Any advice would be great!
