Re:

The repairs to it as someone has tried already don't last that long, so if you're keeping the car for a while I would consider buying a new one or at least a used one from the wreckers (you might get lucky and it lasts you longer).

Re: T30 Blower Fan (noises and relay replacement)

Hi,
Had exactly the same problem with my 2003 TI. Disgusted with local Nissan dealer who quoted $350 for the same part I bought off Ebay for $[sign in to see URL]!! Being a miser and a pensioner I decided to tackle the problem myself with a lot of help from this forum and a factory workshop manual downloaded from an Ebay seller for $[sign in to see URL]! There were times when I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew bur I persevered and had the satisfaction of turning on the air con and felt the breeze, also saving a bill from the Nissan dealer for around $800! My advice take your time, remember or photo where things came from during disassembly and remember the TI uses a different resister due to climate control.

Re:

Ok so I have replaced the mosfet, tested the rest of the board and fitted the regulator again. All is working as normal now. For those that want to know how I did it, go to this link (again unsure if allowed to do this, so let me know). Being an electrician and somewhat electronic technician gave me some help doing this, however anyone can do if you follow the link. Also note down the part number for the mosfet and it is still available via Rs components.

I was the same, considering my skill sets. There is very little within the module, so unless the pcb is completely blown apart and unable to be repaired, then fixing it isn't a huge deal. I guess we will see how long it lasts.

Re: Blower fan

Hi, after being re-directed 3 times to this enormous thread and taking an hour to read all the posts I still dont have the answers I am looking for.

The questions seem to be around the climate control models of my vehicle. All I have is just the standard heat/ac controls. My unit is under the dash but it does not seem to match the [sign in to see URL] are no [sign in to see URL] plastic snap lugs and screws and bolts way up under the dash.

I too dont have the mobility to get in under to remove the housing unit and I see it is difficult to do. What I need is a link for a new motor for my vehicle which wont take 4 weeks. My wife needs the cart to be fixed as its dangerous her driving in early morning cold with fogged up [sign in to see URL] is seized.

Can anyone link me to a local site or Repco or someone who sells new units for a reasonable price. Nissan said they would install it for around $200 bucks.

PS - in order not to frustrate searchers it may pay to split this thread into resistor issues and motor [sign in to see URL] found it very frustrating reading through alot of stuff that wasnt my issue.

Re:

I very much doubt that you have read the whole thread mate, because the answer to the blower fan removal and even ways to replace the blower fan bearing without replacing the entire blower fan unit are clearly detailed in ,offset=80#post2049266]THIS post in this same thread (page 9).

So, instead of being frustrated for nothing, please spend some time reading the informative posts on the forum which have been posted over the last 14 years and helped numerous xtrail owners.

If however you prefer a full replacement of the blower fan assembly, either pay the full Nissan price or get in touch with this wrecker and grab a 2nd hand one: [sign in to see URL]

Re: Blower fan

I'm not looking for blower fan removal but correct blower fan to purchase. I will get Nissan to remove old one and install new one. I dont want to get a second hand one but a new one.

I am after the type of fan for my model and possibly somewhere online to buy it cheaper than the $600 on offer or an aftermarket one in Australia?

Re:

Call your local Nissan dealer and ask them for the part number and then use that part number in your Google search.
