EURO-OBD

Hi guys
Searching electronic service manual today, I found on Engine Control System (EC) section that QR engine could be with or without EURO-OBD system. Does anyone know what that is? How can I determine if my car is equipped with that?
Thanks

Re: EURO-OBD

Thanasis,

EURO OBD (On Board Diagnotics) is a requirement for all cars in the European union which is using a tougher emission control system than the rest of the world.

They ask car manufacturers to design a special ECU program that is compliant and will work with EURO OBD.

My guess and since Greece is part of the EU, your xtrail will be EU OBD compliant, but you can ask your dealer to make sure.

Re: EURO-OBD

Thanks Jalal
You have right. I found that there is a code (type approval number) on car’s identification plate. The existence of this code means that the car is equipped with EURO-OBD.
