Re: *NEW* Fender Flares Kit

How will that go with the exposed paint work of the wheel arch, ie: scratches.
Also does the Genuine flares require drilling, and can the standard mudflaps be attached with either set of flares.

Its a hot topic for me because i had them on my last car(jeep) and have wanted to fit something similar if available to the exy, so apologise for so many questions.

The risk of scratching the flares would be exactly the same if you open the rear door and slam it against something, therefore damaging the paint work. Only in this case, you will at least have the flares to protect your doors.

I'm not 100% sure about the way the genuine nissan ones are fitted but I would say they're a stick on type, so no drilling will be required.

Genuine nissan ones can not be fitted with the mudflaps, so you will need to remove them. The aftermarket kit can be fitted with the mudflaps with no problems.

Jalal,

You have just answered my prayers !!!

I am considering adding a 1" wheel spacer in order to give the exy better stability by widening the track, but the result would mean the BFG's stuck out too far. But not anymore.

 Thanks for the info mate.

Has anyone seen these flares on the motorage website?

Looks like they may be even wider then the other set?
Brett, might give you even more options with widening the track.

I have hit another problem with the fender flare kit I was going to get. Damn shipping fees again but this time it is way astronomical for me to take the plunge and go a head. They're out of the equation for sure.

EDIT: Tague, yep I've seen those before and they cost around $460/set (excluding shipping from Japan)

i definately prefer these japanese ones over the ones Jalal is/was looking at. depending on freight, i could be tempted by these, and 1" spacers (if they are legal!)

Re: *NEW* Fender Flares Kit

I think there is an ADR regulation on how far the fender flares can stick-out from the body of the car and these ones seem to exceed them.

Well guys, it seems the accessories on my wish list are shrinking as I have just scored this awesome fender flares kit from the UK for half the price I was originally quoted. Thanks to eBay LOL emoticon

Here it is

Can't wait to get it, paint it and fit it on my black beast emoticon emoticon

Re: *NEW* Fender Flares Kit

I received the fender flares today.

Will be taking them for colour coding and fitment shortly and will post pics when done.

The kit looks awesome and very professionally done.
