Leather Gear Shift Knob for Manual
Look what turned up for me today all the way from Brazil. A belated birthday present from Silvia.
The quality is awesome, it looks great and feels really nice to drive with also.
HERE is the eBay listing for those that might be interested. This one is not exactly the right fit for the X-Trail and this seller is selling another one suited to the X-Trail apparently with a different logo which I'm not fond of.
Installation was a little tricky and required the inside of the knob to be scraped out a little with a drill until I got a nice snug and tight fit. The seller states that "Will also fit larger diameter shafts but some grinding work on the plastic base of the knob will be required!" which was the case for me.
The winning bid was won at a total cost of $46 including delivery. I real bargain if you ask me...
I'm very happy with the result and a thumbs up to Silvia for keeping this item a secret from me...

Ahh, you are a lucky man Noel, I wish I could pursuade my wife to buy me some leather for my knob!!
Why? is it getting "rusty" and out of "shape"?
That's why I decided to buy an Auto. hehehehe
