Hmmmmmm... Interesting concept.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Naff)Tue, 13 Mar 2007 14:17:22 +0000 Re: fitting a series 2 dial cluster into a series 1https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p1998622,from=rss#post1998622https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p1998622,from=rss#post1998622oh really my bad I knew the dash was different, didn't realise the cluster changed so much.. ah well, cheaper option would probably be the led dials that you speak of jalal they do look awesome, if they make a manual version soon Im down for a set. thanks again mark quote:jalalski wrote: Sorry Mark, but this is not doable at all, as the shape and size of the dial clusters is completely different between series I and II, not to mention the shape of the dash itself. What you CAN do is swap the dials between the Series I Ti (white ones) with a Series I (ST) black ones. I have done exactly the opposite with mine and swapped from black series I dial to the white Ti ones. That was before I fitted the LED faced dials (there is an existing topic covering this mod) It is also worth noting that the wiring is completely different between Series I and II. nondisclosed_email@example.com (qikshift)Tue, 13 Mar 2007 11:30:41 +0000 Re: fitting a series 2 dial cluster into a series 1https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p1998621,from=rss#post1998621https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p1998621,from=rss#post1998621Sorry Mark, but this is not doable at all, as the shape and size of the dial clusters is completely different between series I and II, not to mention the shape of the dash itself. I'm not a big fan of the white dials in the series one and do prefer the black dials found the series two. I'm just wondering if anybody has fitted a series 2 cluster into the 1 ? I am assuming all the computer related readings like k's etc are stored on the ECU in memory and therefore the cluster merely just displays this data. So i guess as long as the plug(s) are the same and the mounting hardware hasn't changed between the series it should be ok ? thanks Marknondisclosed_email@example.com (qikshift)Tue, 13 Mar 2007 10:53:07 +0000
