Yeh guys the setup is not the prettiest, just something to give you an idea about placement.

I agree Adam, there would have to be some heavy grilles over the speakers there but it does leave a good amount of usable space with the rear seats still being able to be folded down.

Thanks for the pic though, Kev.

To be honest, I had my stereo fully planned before I even signed the contract on the lease. Half the reason I bought it was because of the dash layout and the way i was able to do the boot installation.

Once you see some pics of mine you'll understand... emoticon

Funny you should ask that.

The interior parts have been painted and are literally being fitted right now with the front end of the stereo.

Also, my Lenso's have been ordered and should be fitted by the end of the week.

Then, I guess i'd better take a few pictures and start a members ride thread ay??

The mod list is starting to grow steadily. And the whole car is very BLACK!!

Wood.

I can't wait to see your Member Ride thread mate emoticon

Maybe it'll give me some ideas as well. It's been pretty boring for me for a while without mods. hehehehe

Hey Woody, which DVB-T tuner were you thinking of using ?

I found this one today which seems reasonable.

Hey Kev, you seem to be up on this sort of stuff so maybe you could help?

Is this suitable for our car and if I was to get it do you think I would need to buy anything else for it to make it work?

Touchscreen

Thanks mate!

Re: High End audio for the Exy...

Jamie,

It is a 2-din sized unit so it will fit in the dash but there are 2 things which stop me from considering one...
1. Resolution is normally low with only 480 x 234 pixels so movie quality won't be great although graphics for control buttons, etc will be fine.
2. The TV tuner will be analog so in a few years when only digital TV will be broadcast, the TV tuner will be useless.
