Re: Technical Error in our Forum
OK Jalal, it has happened this morning.
Main forum page snapshot - Announcements
Announcements page - Technical Error page
I had been to this page before and the NEW marker disappeared from the main page.
I noticed you mentioned an addition to the DIY guides for finding our paint code.
This edit did not show in my pages anywhere as a NEW marker.
Maybe this will help ?

Re: Technical Error in our Forum
OK Kev,
A couple of hints:
1. If you view a new reply to a thread by using the "new reply email notification" and go to the thread where the reply has been added directly from your email account, you will NOT see the NEW icon once you go back to the main forum page.
2. If a post has only been "EDITED" like the one I have done this morning where I have added the paint-code guide through an edit function, this will also not generate a NEW icon, as the post is still using the original/old reply date.
3. Finally, if you're on the main forum page and see a NEW icon against a forum section and go to that forum section to view and read the new reply, when you go back to the main forum page, the NEW icon will no longer be there, as the software expects you to locate ALL new replies in that forum section before going back to the main forum page.
4. THis reply of mine should now generate a NEW icon in the "announcements" section of the forum.

Re: Technical Error in our Forum
OK Jalal,
1. Not applicable. I do not have email notifications turned on.
2. OK.
3. Actually, if there is a new post in more than 1 thread of a forum page and I only view 1 thread, returning to the main forum page will still show the NEW marker until I view ALL new thread posts on the forum page.
4. It did but I clicked 'Mark forum as read' in the Announcements page after I posted.
