Re: My Money Box
Jalal,
I'm only covering the A/C line for piece of mind as it is not hot to the touch and I will look at sleaving the top radiator hose as well. Also is the Hi Tech extractor a mild steel with a ceramic coating
I forgot to add that the fuel ecconomy is better sitting on 100k/h than it was before the extractors went on this is without a ECU reset but this would not matter as the measurement is in real time anyway.

It is Stainless Steel from tip to toe. Hi-Tech doesn't deal/use mild steel in any of their systems.

Re: My Money Box
Is that the connection point for the O2 sensor Dave ?
Would there be any problems with the ECU only having it measure exhaust from cylinder 2 ?

Re: My Money Box
Good question Kev, I only just noticed that too.
In addition to Kev's question, am trying to work-out the design configuration of these extractors Dave. Are they 4-1 type? They don't look like a standard 4-2-1

Re: My Money Box
Kev,
There has been no warning lights come on yet and I have now completed around 2000km so far so good but I cant see this being a problem.
Jalal,
It is a 4-2-1 if you look back to page one pics it shows two pipes that join at a flange from the extractor and continue under the engine joining into one just before it hit the flex joint

Re: My Money Box
Aah yep, just saw the other pic. Sorry got confused with the flange you decided to put after the extractors to join with the 2 pipe section separately.

Re: My Money Box
Jalal,
Just had a look at my Hi-Tech extractors and they have done the same thing as dave but coming from where 2&4 join together.

Re: My Money Box
Nope Kev, the Hi-Tech extractors are welded as one piece all the way to the first flange that joins the flexi pipe
The extra flange in Dave's extractors which I was referring to is this
Here is a better pic showing the Hi-Tech extractors as a 4-2-1 one piece set-up
Dave's O2 Sensor should have been ideally positioned in the 2 pipe joint section to measure cylinders 2&4 or 1&3, but since he's not getting any errors in the ECU, it could be fine.
