Re: Rear mat for x-trail

I've looked at these before (from the UK) and they appear to be among the better ones that are offered on the Net. I've not seen any on the Net with Au as the place of origin.

Several things about this particluar item:

1. It's quite expensive when you add in the shipping and translate into your Au dollar.

2. In order to use the forward anchor points, you'd have to cut some holes in the product - I use the forward anchors for a child seat teather strap.

3. Not sure how well it would fit with a cargo blind in place - albeit that they do make reference to that.

Think you could buy some carpet product and custom make one yourself for a lot less dollars.........

Dunno if its normal to come with the xtrail, but i got one that only covers the extra wheel area, but not the back of the seats. Want a pic? It's from Nissan.

Scott,

If you don't have kids and you don't mind leaving the stuff in the boot area exposed without having the cargo blind, then I think the UK rear mat is the way to go, but I am sure you can just grab a piece of carpet and shape it exactly the same way and it will cost much less OR just add the part that covers the back seats to the existing carpet mat using Velcro.

I bought a genuine Nissan mat from Japan, that is basically the same. Cost me $20 plus about $15 freight.

It's ok, but only for light work and good looks. It looks good, with the X-trail Logo at the backk.

(One day when I can get pictures on the forum I can show you.)

If it's always in the back of the car I could easily take a photo next time I see you and upload it for you...

NICE emoticon

I contacted the seller and he operates from a business in Brisbane, takes phone orders and can accomodate pickups.

Jalal,
If enough people are interested in these, maybe you could organise a group buy or a shop discount for us ?
I can forward his details if you wish.

I was thinking of picking one up while on holidays this christmas.

Re: Rear mat for x-trail

Nice idea Kev, but since this is an established business that operates on eBay as well as a shop in Brisbane, I don't see a need for a group-buy, as any member can approach this business direct. I don't think you will be able to get the rubber mat for less than $90 and the price seems reasonable already.

Group-buys take a lot of time and effort to organize and I try to save this for items which are not accessible to all members in Australia and hard to find.
