Blue Mountains/Yerranderie overnight trek 16/17 April 2005
Peter and I are trying to organise an overnight excursion to the Blue Mountains/Yerranderie.
Good drive for the Xtrail. Little more difficult than Nowra, Yango or Watagans but has been done in an Xtrail before (not me, someone else, and I have only managed a part of the trip, see link below)...
The trek is described in the 4WD Treks Around Sydney (although the Yerranderie part is a detour not mentioned in that trek notes). The Blue Mountains drive portion of it is fantastic, IMHO.
You also get to listen to Pete recount his 4WD adventures by the campfire over a beer or three!
Register your interest at Peter's Australia4WD forum at this thread. Only a couple of weekends away, so be quick!

Re: Blue Mountains/Yerranderie overnight trek 16/17 April 2005
I'd love to, but I just washed and polished my Exy LOL =D
Just kidding of course.
I wont be able to make this time guys, as I've got a lot of family events coming-up, but I would have loved to test-try my new tent which I didn't end-up using at Stockton
Have fun and looking forward to some pics and videos
Aah, don't forget to leave that area early in the morning on your way back to Sydney. That's of course if you don't want to beat my trip record of 7 hours

Re: Blue Mountains/Yerranderie overnight trek 16/17 April 2005
I bought my copy at one of the large bookshops (Dymocks or Angus & Robertson, can't remember exactly) but I have also seen the book being sold at Ray's Outdoors (Camperdown), Boots Camping Shop (Lidcombe) and The Map Shop (Pitt St).
I would suggest ringing the nearest Dymocks type store near your way...
