Poor customer service indeed!
You should have just told them, write me a cheque for $1000 and forget about the fuel card. I'll buy fuel with this money
Or even better, ask them to swap the value of this fuel card for genuine accessories from the dealer!
I can't beat this one indeed and I don't have your patience. I would have started banging doors by now

If I was you, I would go back to the dealer and demand a cheque written out to the value of $1000 from which you will use to buy fuel from.
If the dealer refuses then tell them that you have waiting long enough for this card, and are totally disgusted with the lack of service, and that you will be on your way to the Office of Fair Trading to lodge a formal complaint.

Nissan head office usually call me back within 15 minutes and I have rang them more than once.
