Fan noise

Picked up car from airport after ten day stay in Japan and went to turn on fan for A/C. The fan is making a ticking noise like there is something in the fan houseing. When I turned the fan on I herd something get sucked in there. Is it easy to get access to the fan?

Thanks

Andrew

Re: Fan noise

Hi Andrew,

It's not hard. Just follow the DIY Guide on the Main Site (under Technical).

While you at, you may want to install the A/C microfilter if you don't have one already.

Hey Jalal

How do you know if you have one or not?

Is there a way to tell without disasembling the dash?

Cheers

David

Re: Fan noise

Thanks so mutch for that. I just finished pulling out all the leaves, candy papers, cigaret rapers etc. No word off a lie there was more rubbish in there than I could hold in both hands. I would be most interested to find out were the inlet vent is, will ask Nissan at the next service and will block off next time im parked for a long period of time. Thanks again

Andrew

Dave, Nope, you can't tell if you have one or not, unless you do the above.

This is an optional part which Nissan does not fit as standard and they would only fit one if you ask them to during the service. (for a charge of course)

There should be a little rectangular silver sticker on the inside of the glovebox door indicating when the filter was installed/changed... As Jalal said, they don't come fitted standard - at least in Sydney, and they're approx $40 from Nissan Spare Parts...

Just got myself a new one last week, but not fitted it yet... It takes all of 5 minutes once you've done one before emoticon
