Re: Do my spark plugs need changing

Hi,my vechicle has done over 50000ks with a set of NGK iridium sparkplugs, and have noticed that the idile and starting have lost there sparkle.I decided to give the exy a new set of plugs, iridium of course. When i looked around on the Denso australia site i noticed that they list IKH16 iridium small tip and VKH16 iridium long life. Also pointed out that they are supplied through local toyota dealers.I have tried my local toyota dealer and the only one listed is K16HPRU11 which is a standard plug.I thought it would be nice to have some choice in this matter.jalal you know the trade and where to get parts, what do you know about this?I also looked on WWW.sparkplugs.com in yankee land and you can purchase both NGK and denso in Iridium and NGK in both single and double platium plugs.Denso australia lists these plugs,so they should be available to us.Has any body tried to purchase denso iridium plugs?

Re: Do my spark plugs need changing

Sorry duxbac,

I haven't looked at the Denso plugs at all and always used NGK.

You can get the NGK Iridium plugs very cheap these days and most are now sold on ebay as well.

See THIS auction for example.

The Denso plugs are also there (see HERE)

Re: Do my spark plugs need changing

Prior to fitting the NGK Iridium, I researched the Denso product, and found the NGK had a better reputation for reliability and longevity. Especially on the overseas forums which use our engine type.

 NGK for me.

Re: Do my spark plugs need changing

Hey Dux,

Make sure you get the correct ones.
NGK code LFR5AIX-11
I did not see these in the list for the auction.

Hi Ray,

Email the eBay seller and give him the correct NGK part number and see if he has them.

Yeah Dave, but this seller is located in the US, it is better and safer to buy these plugs locally, then you wont get hit with international shipping charges.
