Re: Assorted locations of DIN slots
Ben,
My "plan" is to get a double-DIN screen, which includes in-car navigation, DVD and the works it's only a plan at the stage though
I will have another free DIN below the air-con controls (mine is Series I) which I'll keep using to store my smokes
I don't have a spare DIN slot above the glovebox, but it is being used to install UHF Radios (as Rich has done) and it's a good place to hide them there.

Your double DIN Screen plan... do you have any details? I have had the worst time trying to find a solution similar to yours...i.e specific products???
The double DIN screen is the way to go, but the best i have been able to do is to then purchase a single DIN mini computer (now making P4's!) that will then run cd's/DVD's/nav etc...the catch is the interface, best to use Touchscreen (otherwise remote control). Goes for about 1000 from memeory... Nav is optional extra, and requires purchase and installation of GPS antenna and map display software, plus map cd. The benefit though is it had a hard drive (as big as you can get for a laptop)...
I will try and find the dudes who do this, and then post the link...
THIS was part of my plan and the price seems OK.
