Matt
Once you have used the cruise control for a few weeks you will know every button by touch anyway
Cheers Dave

Re: Climate & Cruise Control Retrofit

This may be a silly question but can you fit cruise control to a manual transmission?

Of course, the only difference between a cruise control in Auto and one fitted with a Manual, is that they add a "clutch switch" with the manual so the cruise control is disengaged when you press the clutch pedal.

Climate control

================================

Hello all

Was wondering if any ST-S owners have looked into climate control for their cars?
I know that there has been the same question for the series I models.

Happy Trailing

posticon Re: Climate & Cruise Control Retrofit

Hi Guys, Read the post regarding the climate control retrofit and can add some light to the discussion. The climate control system is so different to a manual one its like chalk & cheese. The manual system is operated by cables that connect to the mode & temperature & fresh/recirculate flaps, the climate one has small electric stepper motors to do this, you would have to fit all these motors ( remove complete heater from car ) and fit these and there loom, climate control head unit, ambient temp sensor ( behind grill ), sun-load sensor ( top of dash ) etc etc. It would probably just be easier & quicker to go buy a TI

Yes Mark, I agree. It's almost impossible to do without major modifications. That is why I pulled everything out and put it back in again when I realized the difference and what is involved.

Re: Climate & Cruise Control Retrofit

Hey
has anyone actually fitted orginal cruise control to t30 II series that didn't have one ??

What is needed except of :
- steering whell controls
- extra switches on clutch and brake pedals
- maybe a few extra wires if there is no harness

- Is the computer unit different with some extra abilities to control it ??

Re:

There are after-market units which are much cheaper and easier to fit for T30 models which didn't come with cruise control and they also have the steering controls and looks very nice.

Re:

Most cars have a wiring loom that is made to fit all accessories to be just pluged in. Things like fog lights, bluetooth, cruise control and upgraded radios just to name a few.
Depending on what model you have and how much your car cost determines what accessories are fitted to your car.
