Re: Petrol Cap Holder

Well Peter indicated the plastic "Filler Cap Holder" for the Patrol will fit the X-Trail. He is absolutely correct.

I've been to Nissan today, purchased this item and fitted it.

And you won't believe the price: $1.40 (including GST)

Product Code: 17255 - 01G00

Check out the following pics (similar to Jalal's above):

Re: Petrol Cap Holder

Jalal, I think you owe it to your pride and joy to clean up the mess inside the fuel lid and cap area and post another 'decent' picture on the forum.
I will also suggest you include claying the beast with your next polish and wax job.

ps Glad to hear that there was no major issue with your Exy loosing power.

Cheers!
Vik

hehehe Vik, sorry to cause you guys stress by looking at these painfully dirty pics emoticon

But at least you now know how an exy would look after a full day of off-road bashing emoticon

As for decent pics, you have Noel's on display LOL

Re: Petrol Cap Holder

Adelaide Rules!!!! emoticon

Part Number NI-17255-01G00 from Main North Nissan, 75 Main North Road, Nailsworth.

If it wasn't for GST we would have come out without change from a dollar. As it was, we paid $1.10.

Jalal, my friend, you were ripped off!

The spare parts desk knew exactly what I was talking about, so it made it much easier to buy the part.

Only a small problem. It only comes in fluoro orange, which absolutely screams with the burgundy paintwork. emoticon

Have also found out about the roof rattle. Updated on FAQ for anyone else who develops the same problem.

Re: Petrol Cap Holder

Hi Anita & Greg,

I guess the 30c difference would be the freight charge to Cairns for me.

Still cheaper me buying it here than Adelaide, emoticon

Re: Petrol Cap Holder

Thanks for all your replies.

Will definitely be popping into Macarthur Nissan to get one of those thingies!!

That should hopefully stop Craig from leaving the cap on the roof and having to drive up and down the road in the dark looking for it!!

Re: Petrol Cap Holder

I had Metro Nissan in Brisbane fit one to my 2003 ST during a service about 6 months ago. Cost was about $2.50, a low cost but worthwhile extra!
