Hey Even,

Just out of curiosity, can you please advise the prices you were quoted on both bonnet protectors?

This info. may help other xtrailers looking to buy the same.

That i can do.

Parry Nissan want AUD85.00 for the Nissan branded Protector.

Airplex want 64 euro = about 110AUD for their model.

Both can be delivered in clear ore "smoked" colour.

Both prices is exlusive shipping.

Thanks Even,

Very good prices! considering they're selling them locally (in Australia) for a bit more than that, but I guess they don't count GST (10%) addition when the send it overseas.

Re: Bonnet Protectors for the X

Hi everyone in this discussion,

I bought a non-genuine clear bonnet protector a few months ago, it was $46.20 incl GST. I think I probably posted about it in an earlier thread!

There are photos in my Yahoo folder (link below), but the 'X-TRAIL' logo was my own work.

I'll see if I can find the details of where I bought it from.

Cheers,
Brenton

Re: Bonnet Protectors for the X

Hi Even,

Here is the company that I bought it from -

SA Auto Accessories - email [saauto@senet.com.au]. They don't have a website I don't think.

They are actually a wholesaler but they were happy to sell to me. You would have to ask them if they will ship it overseas for you.

I corresponded with a guy called Bob McNamara.

I got everything I needed - screws and mounting points.

Good luck!

Cheers,
Brenton

I choose the one from Parry Nissan - i feel it's a bit safer when ordering from from a Nissan dealership.

Re: Bonnet Protectors for the X

Hi Guys,

I will soon be importing the Airplex bonnet and headlight protectors for the On Line Shop and wanted to know your opinion about them.

Here is what the bonnet protector looks like

Image

It will come in smoked and clear and will NOT extend beyond the width of the bonnet (as seen in this pic)

The headlight protectors cover the headlight and turning signal in Full unlike the Nissan one which has that opening at the top of the headlight for that small bump.

P.S. Prices will be around the same or a bit cheaper than Nissan, but the quality is much better.

Look forward to your valued opinions.
