Re: Side Steps

No worries Graham, I will email you some pics tomorrow and point out the drill & mounting points. There are two other types of sidesteps in AUS that require these drill holes so I dont think warranty should be a problem.For making them yourself you do seem to over engineer things and buff the finish more than you need because when you buff you are 200mm- 300mm away in the real world no one gets any closer then 2 metres. But when you have made them yourself it is worth it.
Cheers Dave

Re: Side Steps

Hi Graham,

As long as you don't get too excited with drill and start from the undercarriage and find your way through the roof of the exy, you will be fine in terms of warranty emoticon

Nissan don't go looking for drill holes, they will look however for leaks caused by them. hehehehe

Nissan Side Steps Installation Instructions

Posted by CybernetUK - Moved from another thread
=============================================

I've managed to get hold of some second hand Nissan Side Steps (see pic below) for my new Exy. They came complete with fixing brackets and bolts but no fitting instructions emoticon

I have heard that mounting holes need to be drilled out but I'm not sure where. As I don't want to start making holes in my new Exy unnecessarily, does anyone have a fitting guide for these, possibly with details of drilling locations or a template?

Many thanks in advance for any help or guidance on this!

Cheers!

Steve emoticon
