Re: Replacement Tyres for T31 TL 18"
Bernii, it would be very hard to go past Cooper CS4s. They have an 80,000km warranty and they are, from all reports, a very good tyre. They meet the road/gravel ratio you require and they come in 225/55/18.
Cooper tyres are a little more expensive than some of the others but they are worth the money. My local Goodyear tyre place has them for about $288 each which would seem to be cheaper than the 7000s you were quoted.
Others like the Yokohama Geolandar AT/S which is cheaper again.
I still have the Dunlop 7000s but I'll be going to CS4s as soon as replacement is due.
Out of curiosity, how many kms have you had the 7000s?

Unsure at the moment, I had to bring the wheels home to fit as I needed to buy wheel nuts from a different shop. I havent really driven the car that far since fitting them.
I'm gonna guess no, as many other people are runing the same size, and I seen a xtrail in melbourne running these, hence why I brought them in this size lol.
I originally had heaps of trouble trying to buy them, as no one would sell me the All terrain tyres for my xtrail, 4 shops knocked me back, until I found one 150kms away..
I will be fitting up my antenna on Monday, then will try and get some nice photos, and see how the steering copes.. Might even find a puddle to play in lol..

Re: Replacement Tyres
There loss of a sale in the end.
Such is the ignorance of some people that just because it doesn't have low-range they don't consider it a 4WD to need off-road tyres.
Besides the extra fuel to go get them I hope they didn't cost too much more.
