New Member with a difficult decision
Hi All,
Well i have my brand new Ti Xtrail on order and am eagerly awaiting its arrival in Townsville. Because i wanted black we have to wait until the 17th ARGHH, Anywho my wife wanted to get the titanium which i dont mind but think the black looks the best. In your opinion should i wait for the black or go with the Titanium which i can get now. The Boss also argues blah blah blah blacks so hard to keep clean do any of you black Xtrail owners see this as a problem? Would you get a different colour if you had the choice again? Any advice would be appreciated and i look forward to sharing our experiences with you guys.
Cheers Linc

Re: New Member with a difficult decision
Hi there Linc and congrats on your decision to buy an xtrail.
Hmm, tough decision indeed.
Well, I guess it depends on how often you plan to wash your black exy, as I can tell you right now, that it does get dirty quite easily and it wont look good once dirty.
I have a black one, but I only chose this colour because I know my passion for keeping my cars clean
I wash mine every 2 weeks.
Black looks awesome and so does the titanium, but had I been given a chance to choose a brand new exy after having mine for more the 2 years, I would choose black again
I think it's worth waiting for but it's up to you and your wife I guess and if you want black and she wants titanium, maybe you can settle on a middle-point solution and buy another colour just a thought.
Good luck and keep us updated.

Anything or anyone wont look as good when age kicks-in
I look at myself in the mirror and I see a different guy to when I was 15 or even 20 "especially around the stomach area"
The Exy is not an exception to this, no matter what colour (just kidding)
You can be sure of one thing no matter what colour you will choose, the "air-bag" wont be growing as much!

Re: New Member with a difficult decision
THx again to all,
Turns out they dont have any other stock up here anyway so we have to wait no matter what. So i will probably stick with Black i will probably only have the car for three to four years max so not really concerned about the age factor. Was hoping to get it before the 17th as i was going to go for a trip up to Cairns and Atherton Tablelands, anyway i might be lucky and it comes in earlier.
Thx again for the advice

Re: New Member with a difficult decision
Yo Linc,
Just saw the post about Decision, Decision.
It's true the black does show the dirt a fair bit & U can guarantee that the moment u wash ur car, the clouds start 2 roll in.
We tossed up for 3weeks what colur?
The usual stories about the black, like u 2
In the end we chose black & could'nt be happier.
It looks great with all the gear on it & make sur u get an especially dark tint to give it that finishing touch...
we just take ours to the local car lovers pressure wash station every fortnight (beacause we got sydney water restrictions) & for 7 bux u can clean it in about 10 minutes flat.
No need to shamois either, just get in & plant it, so the wind dries it in a flash.
Ive been told since gett'n an Exyy, that black is a colour of power so u may even feel more important when driving hehehhe
Black is becoming a more popular colour & yes, u wont have a problem on the used car market when the time comes.
Regards,
Jayt

Re: New Member with a difficult decision
Yeah its looks like we will be sticking with the Black, my only concern is in regards to the tint. We are getting the tint included in the protection pack or whatever its called but i know now that its not dark enough, they said its darkest legal tint but i think not. I havent rang the dealership yet to see if they will do it darker or just let me get it done, probably wont let me do that as i have already signed the contract etc?
Penny for your thoughts
