Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades For those interested and after much research, I settled for and have just fitted (last weekend Saturday 7th) Phillips Crystal Vision H4 - 4300 K - 60/55W QI's and seem to work exceptionally well.
I say "seem to" as I have only tested these twice, Sat & Sunday night, a non illuminated bitumen country road and whilst I was satisfied with them - "high beam" in country conditions and "low beam" on a normally lighted suburban streets, I will admit I was much happier when I also "flicked the switch" on my Navra Ultima Broad Beam 175mm 100watt lamps. An ideal cost effective combination.
Changing "out" the standard Nissan globes for the Phillips globes was a must for me.
PS: I nearly opted for the 5000k Diamond Vision.........maybe next time.

Re: Hi Guys,
I am about to install my first ever spot lights on my X-trail and as I will be doing for the first ever time just wondering if there is anything i should look out for.
Has anyone installed them? any issues?
Any help would be great.
My X-trail is a 2004 T30 standard model and sorry for posting this on the wrong forum I hope this is the correct one.
The lights i bought are some SCA 100w so they are not the big spending ones.
Bloody new tech stuff LOL

Re: Hi Arthur,
Thanks for moving your post, however this thread doesn't talk about Spot/Driving Lights. This thread is for the fog lights and headlights.
If you do a forum search on "Spotlights, Spotties and/or Driving Lights" you will find plenty of information already covered in there.
If you haven't done this type of work before, it is best left to an auto electrician to do as it requires running wires and powering the driving lights with a new relay. This mighyt set you back about $80 bucks or so but it will be done professionally and use the correct gauge wires.
Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades
The Series I Fog Lights are now available in stock and can be purchased for a fraction of the cost of the genuine ones and they look exactly the same. The only difference is that these fog lights operate on stand-alone switch, rather than the steering stalk switch which comes with the over-priced Nissan fog lights.
If the steering stalk switch is important to you and you'd rather operate these fog lights using it, you can easily buy one from the dealer for $36.00 and it will work with these fog lights as well.
These fog lights are priced at $130.00 per set (including postage to anywhere in Australia) and this is a special introductory price for members of the forum only!
The perfect upgrade option for ST Series I owners or for Ti and TL owners with damaged fog lights
