Re:

Had to get the puncture in my zero turn tyre fixed today and popped into a tyre place called Jax tyres and while I was waiting they had a stand there that you can select tyres or mags to search for your car.

I thought what the heck, I will see if they have anything interesting for the exy.

When I selected Nissan and then x-trail and then T31 Auto Ti it came up with the exy with hyper rails on it sweet emoticon.

Selected the blue for the color and I was impressed to find what really suited the car with the hyper rails in place.

Just thought I would share this and not sure if other tyre companies have these as well.

Regards Scot

Re:

There are a few websites around that can do that.
Most of the ones available for the xtrail are on them.

But none had the rims I selected. I just got the one off the wall at the tyre place and stuck it on the ground at my front tyre and stood back and looked.
(Grabbed everyone who walked out of the shop for the next half hour and the counter people to ask opinions too.)

Re:

Scored myself some brand new, 16x7 Steel Sunraysias (KingWheels - Terra) in black this week for $120 a wheel, which was pretty good considering how bloody hard it is to find anything in steel, with our stud pattern and that actually has a suitable offset for the exy. I'm absolutely stoked with the rough look it's given the car. Combined with the lift and tyres, this exy has transformed from a confused suburban/off-roader to a not-so-subtle offroad monster. For me, the wheels have really finished the car off nicely.

Awesome Ian, looks great.
Sunraysia wheels are cheep and they do the job well, very popular with the 4wd fraternity.
What off set did you opt for +10 or +20?

Re:

It was such a battle in the end, Tony. I had to completely avoid telling anyone they were going on an exy, as I was so sick of the generic "These wheels won't fit on an xtrail". I ordered ET28, but they stuffed up and sent ET18, which I didn't mind at all, because added wheel-track never hurts and they look even better! Well worth all the hard work and failed attempts.

Re: Aftermarket Rims and Alloys

I currently have 215 70r16 A/Ts on my stock ST rims.. will these tyres fit? Not having much luck figuring out the tire to rim sizing

Re:

No they won't fit as the PCD studd pattern is completely different to that of an xtrail which is 5x114.3

Jonno... mate, I suggest you take my word for it after you've had a good read over the specs of the rims I bought, because if sunraysia's are really what you're after, the ones that I have on my exy are the ONLY option for our xtrails.

Re: Aftermarket Rims and Alloys

Hi all,

i've just been researching japanese aftermarket wheels for my T31 series 5 TL and have a question to those running wide/big/low offset wheels on their t31's. I do have abit of time as I plan to change the wheels/tyres once i have no tread left on the first original tyres.

i'm not fussed about legalities in my state but I want to put the widest wheel and tyre combination I can without scrubbing or fouling on anything on the car on full lock or on bumps.

what i've been looking at are 19" wheels and so far looking at a set up of 19x8.5 and offset of +35. tyres I am thinking of are 245 50 19 (i still want to have a bit of tyre and dont want to get into the 40's profiles) or if anyone thinks it is o.k to maybe go for a 255 50 19.

i would just like to know if anyone has any experience on this. below is a t31 from japan running 20x8.5 +35 wheels with 245 40 20 rubber. still looks pretty conservative and the 245 tyre looks a tad bit stretched whereas i'd like to still keep the straight sidewalls.
