Newbie Intro

Hi all,

Justin here and i purchased my X-Trail about two months ago emoticon have always loved the exy since i first saw one in 2002, mind you i had never driven one till i picked mine up on the 6th of may this year emoticon

Kinda a stupid thing to do but i had only seen the car in pictures and hadn't even taken it for a test drive but have had no problems yet touch wood! LOL

Extras include:
*Nissan Nudge Bar
*Nissan Clear Bonnett Protector (Not the Black X-Trail one emoticon)
*X-Trail Floor Mats
*Nissan Alloys
*After Market Cruise Control (unsure why this is)
*And a boreing old dash mat

Planning on getting some side steps in the near future and have her booked in to get windows tinted in one month emoticon

My black 2003 ST-R Manual is by far the best car i have ever owned it does everything i want it to and a whole lot more.

Hi Justin,

And Welcome to the Forums.

You'll find the reason for the aftermarket cruise control is that series I, ST and ST-R didn't have cruise control as standard.

As a new member I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the following section of the forum: Newbie Forum Guides

Justin,
Good luck modifying the exy into your own piece of custom workmanship. Just don't make the mistake as Jalal has and keep a record of the $$$ associated with each and every improvement. Mine is in my head, so the boss has no idea of what the total cost is, but I am getting used to "What's that ?", every time she takes it for a drive.
Big gamble, buying without driving, but they are a top little car once you get used to the centre display unit.

My $$$ spreadsheet has got more than one password protection on it and it is very well hidden from view emoticon I think this will be a secret which I won’t share with my wife until we're both 90 or so years of age, so we can both freak-out when we look at it and kick the bucket peacefully. hahahaha

By the time you are 90, all your mods would appear very cheap, just a thought, emoticon

How did you achieve this colour? Fabric paint?

Not for my wife who still remembers how much I paid for one of the accessories (for one of my previous cars) 10 years ago and still reminds me about it LOL

What kind of question is that dear Admin staff? LOL emoticon This is the ST-R you're talking about. It comes standard like that from the factory. The ST-R got released as the sporty version of the exy with those hyper roof rails and a different seat trim. emoticon

I think your question has given me a good idea and that is to put a summary page on our forum of all available exy options in Australia with a pic and specs next to them. We now have SIX xtrail versions on the streets in Australia.

Do you want to take a guess at what they are? emoticon
