And Welcome to the Forums.
We don't have the "Diesel" X-Trail here in Australia, although I have heard reports that the Diesel version has seen it's share of problems.
We have the 2.5L Petrol version here and this model has been dominating in it's class over the likes of the Subaru Forester and Honda CR-V. The Toyota RAV4 hasn't even been close. The new 2006 RAV4 from it's specifications appears quite good.
