Re: northern nsw Xeephile/Audiophile - longtime lurker comes out! Dave. I've got a pair of entry level JL Audio 10's and previously had it mounted in a sealed box. Have heard the equivalent in a ported config and sound much better (it was quite muddy sounding sealed). Just playing with the idea though at this stage. Performance mods are higher on the agenda then sound as I find that I tend to turn the vol down when I have people in the car (approx 70% of total drive time).
Magnet side up eh? You've been bitten by the chrome bug baaaaaaaad I reckon. It'll look cool but have you got a cargo blind man coz you're going to have a lot of prying eyes (esp Jalal who loooves chrome bits)

Re: northern nsw Xeephile/Audiophile - longtime lurker comes out! Hi Dave and welcome to these forums!
I didn't know there was another X-Trail owner on CAA forums (ok, maybe one) - I think I started or replied to a thread there quite some time ago...
I like a bit of chrome myself (my amp is chrome, and I'm surprised Jalal hasn't come to me asking about installing an all-chrome stereo system ). I had a set of 18inch chrome wheels on my last car, and when I was in Bob Jane just this morning, I was drooling over some 20 inch chrome wheels... If I had a spare $3500 lying around, (and a wife who'd let me spend it on wheels) then I would've driven out with more than just a new set of tyres this morning!
