Well, not actually flying, but in fact driving....., driving my X-trail that is emoticon

Hi there,
My name is Leo, I live in the Netherlands, and I drive a Nissan X-trail 2.5 Sport Outdoor with Navi/ESP. I bought it brand new in september 2004, here is a picture:

Early last year I took some off-road cource to discoover the car´s limits, and I found that it behaves pretty good, even with one wheel loosing traction.

Ground clearance is okay as well emoticon

Recently I went into some more difficult challenges, like this little hill...

and this one....

and since I bought myself some good recovery material and MT tires I take some mud as well...

Here is a short movie (not too good quality though) from me testing the X-trail on some terrain nearby my house.

So far I only found one bad thing about the X-trail, namely the exhaust which seem to be pretty low at the back side and seriously limits the leaving angle (it has some scratches on it now, but who cares, you have to ly under it to see this emoticon

I am now looking for best winch options so I can extend my challenges a bit, so if you have tips regarding this, don´t hesitate contacting me.

Regards,
Leo

Re: Flying Dutchman

Hi Leo,

And Welcome to the Australian X-Trail Forums.

Regarding your exhaust I must also agree. Down under we have actually done something about it and have had the full exhaust system redesigned. Full details can be found ]HERE

If your interested this exhaust system is available to be shipped world-wide.

Cheers

@NPC73

Thanks for changing the big images to thumbnails emoticon

The twin exhaust with the smaller muffler definately seems to solve that problem. Do you know if international pricing includes shipping costs and VAT? Also, I assume this is australian dollars, not US dollars?

Look forward to your reply emoticon
