Another newbie - Adelaide

Hi everybody.

My name is John Murphy and I am from Adelaide sth Aust. I recently purchased a 2004 ST in feb this year.

Have not had much of a chance to take it off road yet but I will get around to it eventually. Other 4WDs I have owned were a Navara D21 dual cab ute, great car to drive but just used to much fuel. The other was a 2004 Kia Sportage, another great car which went anywhere due to the high - low transfer case only [sign in to see URL] engine though.

To get the X-Trail I traded a 1986 Toyota Tarago. I used to belong to a US based forum for it and was amazed at the information I was able to find out about Taragos.

I found this forum by accident today and had no hesitation in joining.

Already I have found out useful stuff in a matter of minites, like how to pull the radio out. Last weekend i spent an hour trying to work out how to do.

After I have had my X-Trail for a while i hope I will be able to contribute some useful info to the forums.

Cheers for now and I will be checking the forums on a regular basis.

Hi John!

Glad you found the forum! It sounds like you have some good general 4WD experience you can share with us already. It will be interesting to hear how you think the X-Trail compares to others you have had.

Welcome!

Hi John,

And Welcome to the Forums.

Yes we have a huge amount of information here. The forums are limited in the number of threads we can have so am going to ask you to use the "Search" facility first before creating any new threads as it's best to ask your questions into any existing thread as I'm sure you already know.

If a subject hasn't been discussed please feel free to create a new thread, or the Admin team for help.

Cheers

As a new member I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the following section of the forum: ]Newbie Forum Guides

Welcome to another Adelaide member. I have been putting the little cards in X trail doors when I see one, trying to get some more South Aussies to join up.
