New to X-Trail

Wow ...what a great site.
I am spending/wasting hours reading the posts.

I am Rob and live in west of Toowoomba in Qld. I just bought my X-Trail . It is a 2002 Ti Auto with a massive 116K on the clock. Runs like new returning great power and fuel economy at 10-11L/100km.

I had the dealer install a Hayman Reece tow hitch, Cargo Barrier and Street legal tint, and it looks great. Ive had it on the beach twice at Bribie Island, and you wouldn't know that you weren't on the back [sign in to see URL] as silk.

I would like to look at a Nudge bar, driving lights, CB, (DVD centre roof mounted) and any fuel saving mods that I can. I welcome your input.

Thanks for the [sign in to see URL] will be a frequent [sign in to see URL] guys are going to eat into my precious study [sign in to see URL] can see that already.

Re: New to X-Trail

Hi Rob,

And Welcome to the Australian X-Trail Forum.

In regards to your study time, well your going to have to do some time management. Just remember having your head in your books 24x7 is not good and you'll always need regular breaks, so don't feel guilty being here, emoticon

In regards to your Hayman Reece, I'm going to ask you a big favour. We have another member here whos been asking questions about the Hayman Reece only yesterday. When you have time (in your breaks away from studying) could I please ask if you could do a little write up about yours? Mainly some pictures would be the go, and one pic from the ground up looking at the towbar would be great, emoticon

Can I suggest you post the information about your towbar (including pics) in ]THIS thread.

Hi Rob!

I think all your questions above have already been covered in previous threads (you may have come across them already - in your "spare" time emoticon ).

The one that wasn't discussed yet (as far as I'm aware) is the roof mounted console. I bought January 4WD Monthly magazine and I'm sure that's the one that has a DIY article on installing one of them, but I haven't read it yet...
