It still looks good though... bargain for $140 with stainless. From memory the price of the factory muffler is around $800 mark from the dealers, so my advice is that you should weigh-up your options carefully.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Fri, 02 Dec 2005 17:11:17 +0000 Re: Newbie from Adelaidehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p872927,from=rss#post872927https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p872927,from=rss#post872927no that is installed, i will post photos when done. It includes 2 stainless tips ( resonator style), the bit of pipe from the left side of muffler and the installation. Most places were quoting me around $220 - $250.nondisclosed_email@example.com (ryan123)Fri, 02 Dec 2005 10:15:06 +0000 Re: Newbie from Adelaidehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p872926,from=rss#post872926https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p872926,from=rss#post872926Hi ryan123, And Welcome to the forums. $140 for the stainless tip and dummy second pipe sounds cheap, is this parts only? Personally I think it's a waste of time tapping the second pipe into the existing muffler, your better off getting one of those smaller/slimline mufflers which have been designed for twin outlets.nondisclosed_email@example.com (NPC73)Fri, 02 Dec 2005 10:05:30 +0000 Newbie from Adelaidehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p872925,from=rss#post872925https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p872925,from=rss#post872925Hi all, I have been lurking for a while (couple of weeks) and picked up my black, auto, series 2, 04 Ti L (sunroof) yesterday with 22000km. I have found this site both interesting and also very informing. I will be getting the stainless tip put on later today as well as the dummy second tip and pipe from the other side of the muffler (as in the post on the board). Getting this done for $140 in stainless!! The guy has stated that he can get the dummy working by tapping into the standard muffler, but I am not sure... Should I just leave this as a dummy or get it blowing a puff of air, I dont overly like the concept of cutting into the standard muffler when it is not really going to do much.. What do u reckon?nondisclosed_email@example.com (ryan123)Fri, 02 Dec 2005 09:38:16 +0000
