Re: Newbie from Adelaide
Hi ryan123,
And Welcome to the forums.
$140 for the stainless tip and dummy second pipe sounds cheap, is this parts only?
Personally I think it's a waste of time tapping the second pipe into the existing muffler, your better off getting one of those smaller/slimline mufflers which have been designed for twin outlets.

Re: Newbie from Adelaide
Hi Ryan,
That is a very good price, however as Noel stated above, it's not really worth the hassle of tapping into the existing factory muffler, as you wont achieve anything by doing that except the good looks of showing people that the second pipe is actually working (especially during cold starts in winter)
You also have to remember that if you do that, the factory muffler will no longer be covered by warranty and should anything go wrong with it (and the potentials for that are high) Nissan will not replace it for you or charge you for its replacement.
From memory the price of the factory muffler is around $800 mark from the dealers, so my advice is that you should weigh-up your options carefully.
