posticon Finally ... it has arrived

Well ladies & Gents, it has been a long wait(only 10 days, but...)my Ti-L arrived at the dealers in Melton (Vic) today.
It is a "Titanium Silver" manual model with a sunroof.
The salesman rang me to let me know it had arrived and I made my way there to have a look at it, only to find it had already been moved to one of the local window tint places to be done. So a quick turn around and off to locate it. Probably not the best 1st impression to see your brand new love & joy with all of the door trims removed and the big sheets of white plastic still adorning the bonnet & roof but what the hey.. it's still mine & I can't wait to get at it.

The dealer has to fit the nudgebar, roof racks & tow kit tomorrow plus the other little bits & pieces.

Looks like Monday morning will be the hand over of the keys etc. It will then be a trip to Ballarat & back to test it out! Can't wait
If members are not too jaded by it all I will put a pic on the web Monday nite. (when I work out how to do it)

Regards,

Shane.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the run to Ballarat - maybe a little detour up past Blackwood - or is it too soon to get dirty? David M

I'll have to keep an eye out on the road. Enjoy! But seriously, there's some lovely bush around Blackwood, ande not difficult tracks - and the exxy shouldn't be too hard to wash with that wax job.

Re: Finally ... it has arrived

G'day Dave, re the Blackwood area, last year one of the social clubs of an organisation I am with did a "Gold Trail" exploration, the chap hosting the tour is with the Vic' Police historical society and is really well versed in local history. We actually followed the route in reverse and started at Gisborne then went via the dirt roads and ended up at the picnic spot by the river at Blackwood. It was a great day and the roads were more or less easily transversed by a common sedan. I was driving my little Suzi' Iggy and it was a little easier because of the increased clearance hight. The history surrounding that area along with the scenery in the Wombat State Forest made for a really great day out. I do want to go of the bitumen soon so a trip around there again is most likely on the cards, or, off the Gisborne - Bacchus Marsh road to Firth Park or something like that. We will have to catch up. If you feel so inclined send a pm
I guess if we do it I will need to move this conversation to the "Trips" Thread
Regards

Shane.

Hi Shane,

The ]Events & Meet-ups is a more appropriate location for this emoticon

Once you finish your adventure, you can use the Trip Reports section to give us a run-down on how it went.
