intro.

Just a short intro. We are now a retired couple in our sixties the wife has just retired so we only need one car now, we dont want a large four wheel drive just something the size of the x-trail 90% city work and the rest will in the bush at my hobby of gold detecting [Metal detecting]over the last forty six years of car ownership I have only had a small number of cars keeping some for fifteen years or more so if we buy an x-trail maybe it will take me into my eighties LOLthinking about fitting lpgas for cheaper running in retirement, the x-trail is one of the only smaller 4wd that has an approved system available but still have to check out the warranty implications?

regards

Re: intro.

Hi kris,

I plan to keep my exy for a long period of time also. One tip for you, change your oil to a full synthetic oil. The synthetic oil will cost you more in price over a mineral based oil (about $15 more / 5 litres), however will greatly extend the life of your motor.

As for the LPG upgrade, I would expect this sort of mod to void your warranty, as it is a major change to the running of your motor. I do suggest you still ask Nissan about that still. Please report back with their reading on this.

Cheers
