Re: Interior Light

HERE you go.

Warning: They don't last very long. One of mine is already kaput AND they're polarity sensitive (meaning try fitting them in one direction and see if they light-up, if not, reverse them)

Re: Interior Light

Jalal, Sounds like your LEDS are being cooked. Have you looked at putting a LM317 voltage regulator in the wiring that’s powering the LED.

Re: Interior Light

Nah, I know what caused this. I've been working on the car and left the door open for an extended period of time. I have done that more than once. I think it reached end of life with my help pretty soon LOL emoticon

Re: Interior Light

The reason why I said that is that Most LEDS have a bulb life of 10 000 hour plus.

Yeah, but not this cheap stuff. I can't expect that much life out of a 7 dollar item LOL

Re: Interior Light

Yeah, I bought some LED lights for the courtesy light (front and back) the other day, the only problem is the courtesy light at the front just behind the drivers head will not turn off completely. This particular light switches ON/OFF when the alarm is turned ON/OFF, as it goes out it fades out (different from the rear courtesy light mounted above the trunk area).
When the courtesy switch is switched to OFF position the light is OFF, but when in door position mode it will fade out but not completely.

Any ideas???

I tried to find lights for the Map reading lights but were very hard to get, found some but were not as good as the original ones.

Here is a picture of the LED lights fitted into the front/rear courtesy light.

They come in White, Red, Blue , Orange and Green

Re: Interior Light

I bought my LEDS from this guy in Nth QLD, he replaced one of mine FREE when 3 of 6 LEDS blew on installation. 2 days from call to doorstep.

The LED Shop Australia

I have 6 x LED in each of the front map lights - a 4 x LED in the Centre cabin light and a 4 x LED in the cargo bay light.
All in all well lit at night although I would like a 6 x LED in the cabin light ya can't have too much light at night
