Re: emblems for exy

Spoke to Steve (X-trail owner who I am trying to convince to join up) and grabbed a couple of pics of his exee stickers. He had them made up at a local print-shop. I will see about getting some more made up on Monday.

Re: emblems for exy

Hi Brett,

The design looks fairly simple and personally I can't stand the fonts used. The "Nissan" font would have looked much nicer.

I've always wanted to have some sort of sticker like this, hence my interest when you said it. Don't worry about getting a price for me, because sorry, I don't like it. Still get the prices if you wish as other members might still be interested in this design.

I will however be looking at attempting my own design to my liking similar to this using only black vinyl.

Re: emblems for exy

Seen a new x-trail with a fairly large 4x4 sticker decal that swept along the side and up above the rear wheel arch nearly to the roof.If i see it in the car park in Morwell i will take a picture and post on site now i have my camera back.

When i get my new 2.5 chrome sticker from jalal,i will have a problem i want to put it on the right hand side of my tailgate where i have put my 4X4 chrome sticker, how do you get them off without breaking them or removing paint?

Where about on the rear tailgate was the factory emblem 2.5 fitted?

Re: emblems for exy

Ray,

The factory position for the 2.5cvtc emblem (not sticker emoticon ) is on the right side of the tailgate (instead of that ALL Mode 4x4 sticker we have there)

However I thought it would look nicer under the X-TRAIL emblem, as it is the same width, so I have it there.

I removed the factory sticker on the right side and put a wide 4x4 emblem and letters stating the model of my exy.

To remove any emblem and/or sticker from the tailgate without causing damage, grab a hair-dryer and heat the badge/sticker with it and then it'll peel off without leaving any marks.

The same technique can be used for Rego stickers and any other stickers you want removed easily from the windscreen or tailgate emoticon

Talking of stickers: - -

What can I put in front of the rear wheel arch at the bottom edge? The place that gets stone chips from stones kicked up from the front wheels. There is already a factory fitted clear plastic "patch" there but it is not big enough.

Now, thats a challenge to all you designers. However, I don't like anything too big and gaudy.

I am not hopeful of a satisfactory solution. The next X-trail I buy will have to have side steps to protect the paint.

John,

The answer to your prayers is HERE emoticon

Order as much paint protective film as you wish and apply to the areas you feel are getting hit the most. This film should last for about 5 years!

I had it on my front fog light for the last 2 years and it's still perfect.
