Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

According to Nissan, keyless Remote central locking was a feature of 03 or 04 Exys. (no specific models or dates of manufacture etc suprisingly). This gel with what you all know? I have found the "door trim removal" pics (cheers Jalal!) however was curious if somewhere in the deep, dark past of Series 1 Exys if a aftermarket "remote central" mod was conducted by anyone?
Thanks again
Robbo!

Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

Weird. (possibly not weird if previous owners didnt pass on/ lost remote) Mine is May 02. Might try the "reprogram remote" DIY and see if I can get any response from the Exy, in way of hazard flashes etc emoticon

Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

I had an early model Series 1 (June 02) and I think Jalal's is similar or even earlier... they have remote central locking as standard.

I had 1 remote and 1 normal key.

Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

Yeah, mine is September 2002 and it came with the black remote pad and 2 keys, one black and one spare purple key.

You will need to get yourself a remote from eBay and try to program it.

Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

Cheers...tried the DIY and got the hazard flashes.....will borrow a mates Exy remote and see if I can reprogram it. If it comes off, will go "ebay hunting" and grab a remote.(obviously after reprogramming his!).Thanks for your assistance guys.
Sorry if this has detracted from the thread Jalal and shoulda been somewhere else...!

Cheers Robbo emoticon

Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

Dave,

No need to try your mate's remote as it will render his other remote useless and you guys will have to re-program BOTH of his remotes (if he has 2 of them). Just get yourself one from eBay straight away and make sure it has MSRA16 part number written on it, otherwise don't buy it if it doesn't have this part number.

P.S. There is one selling there now and finishing in 3 hours, so be quick emoticon

You can use the existing re-programming DIY thread for further questions about programing your remote when you get it.
