From memory, it had a Mitsubishi symbol stamped on it.

Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

I guess someone put it on the wrong hook - they probably had another car there that they wouldn't be able to supply a key (second key?) for.

Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

my remote has gone bung!
is there another way without spending $140
I did notice numerous remotes for sale on ebay and although they said they were for other models they look just like the one I have for my x trail
Does anyone have an opinion on this thanks

Refer to my post in THIS page. Always ask the seller to give you the part/serial number of the remote if you decide to buy it from eBay.

When the remote goes caput why not just change the battery, rather than replacing the remote?

Yes, the remote for the T30 model does have a battery in it which can be replaced.

posticon Re: X-Trail Spare Keyless Remote Poll

Question....did the 02 T30 TI Series 1 come with remote central locking? My second hand Exy came with keyed central...ie drivers door to left ONCE opens that door, drivers door to left TWICE unlocks all doors and boot. Simple matter to install remote system, however would love to know prior to pulling my door skins off! Was this standard or a later mod? The vehicle came with master key and "valet key" only
Cheers
Robbo
Ps have searched forums/specs unfortunately cant get clarity. Or am not looking in right spot!
