Not all advertised remotes on eBay will work with our exy. Reason being is that they need to work on exactly the same frequency as the factory remote.
I got myself one of these remotes and it looked identical to the factory one, yet I could not re-program it to work.
The model number of our remote is MSRA16
Most of these remotes on eBay are made in Mexico and have a different model number and are set to work on a different frequency (US and Canada only)
Be very careful when you bid on these and ask the seller to confirm model compatibility as well as solid confirmation that it will work with the Australian xtrail.
