Handbrake on sensor/switch for DVD player Hi Happy X-Trailers!
Picked up the new STs last week and it is fantastic. I am busily wrecking... I mean customising it at present and want to know where I might find the wire that tells me the handbrake is on so that I might legally fit the Alpine W200E DVD double DIN head unit in the dash. I need this so that the DVD won't play unless the handbrake is on. Also while I am at it, can anyone give me advice on location of reversing camera and internal versus external mounting. I would like to mount it internally because of the security and dirt on lense possible problems.
Thanks to all for the involved for the veritable gold mine of X-Trail information on this site. Oops! sorry folks, I should have posted this in the Q&A section and have just realised this.
Cheers,
Glenn M

Re: Handbrake on sensor/switch for DVD player OK fellas, I get the drift. Trouble with me is I try to do the right thing all the time. I don't think I will watch many DVDs anyway, moving or not. I bought the unit for the reverse camera function, a screen for possible navigation Carputer and the Ipod interface with good onscreen display of album/track info etc.
Cheers,
Glenn M
