When I had the tow bar fitted I also added an electric brake controller and very soon after I was asked that 'that toy' was for.

Re: Sneaky Installs

Was on such a buzz today after the improvements after the K&N Air Filter and Strut bar (both this weekend) that I came clean on everything.

She was driving and I asked if she thought the car felt ok.

She said, Yeah feels pretty smooth (see K&N Filter and oil and filter change this weekend)

so I said, yeah, I changed the air filter and did an oil change

Then I pressed her about the steering and said, go on keep the power on through the roundabout (near Newtown, beside Sydney park)

She said yeah, feels good.

So anyway I was, as I said on a bit of a buzz and mentioned the strut, (it was only $120 if she asks) and went on the talk about the tweeters the and micro filter.

She took it well but I have a sneaking suspision that this one will come back to bite me....

Sorry Paul, you've posted in the wrong thread - this is sneaky installs, where the wife isn't meant to know about what you've done to the X-Trail emoticon

It will come back and bite you!

Haha - we need more definition then!

The way I see it, Paul did the install sneakily, then let her in on the secret later... always a good way to go, because it's not like you can send it back easily emoticon

thats a pretty good saying YWAIT

" its easier to get forgivness than get permission"

I like that one, its pretty true.

Seems to me that many women, my wife included live by it. Lost count of the amount of times where I find out about the new dress etc months after the fact. I am just taking a leaf out of her book!

Replaced standard centre console in my '97 Honda Civic GLi with one that has combined arm rest and storage box. Wife didn't notice it for about 12 months or so (she says, "its just a car - why should I notice?"). I can't wait to get our Exy! emoticon

High tensile bolts for the front recovery hooks. Easy, not even visible from above.

Nice one, been thinking about that one myself with the Watagans trip. Do you mind me asking where you got the bolts, what were the specs and how much?

(Might be better to post the reply in the recovery points thread HERE )
