how do you install a different cd player?????
hi my newcomer to the forum. i recently purchased a 2005 xtrail and i want to replace the standard head unit with a better one.the problem ive got is that im not familiar with the OEM wiring loom n theres no wiring guide on the standard unit 8( .if theres members that has installed an aftermarket head unit in there xtrail and could provide me with some sort of wiring guide,your help would be greatly appreciated.thanx

the easiest way is to buy an adapter plug for your brand of head unit. That way it plugs straight in, you dont have to run new wires for your speakers and it can be converted back to stock in 2 minutes. You dont have to cut wires and stuff up your chances of putting the stock unit back in if you want to sell the car or something.
Most good car audio shops will have a range of these adapters, if they dont have an x-trail one they should be able to order it in.
