Series II Stereo/AirCon Bezel..

Hi all,

i'm after a series II exy stereo/air con bezel (The grey plasticy bit that fits over/around the stereo/air con controls/4wd switch/hazard switch)...

was wondering if anyone knew if i can get them through a nissan dealer or if anyone (Jalal) had seen one at a wrecker...

Also, what is the easiest way to remove these? Sorry if its been posted before but I couldnt find it!

thanks,

Tim.

Re: Series II Stereo/AirCon Bezel..

I removed mine by my finger nail..... literally
from the bottom, where the bezel curves on the left and right, you can get your fingernails in there and start pulling it off.

Keep pulling evenly on bot sides and make sure you don't snap it (sounds like you've learnt that lesson.)

I used my nails as a screwdriver just wrecks the plastic. The manual says to use the clip tool (which I don't have)

I hope this helps

i tried with my nails too... no luck... a thin wide knife blade under the bottom corners to prise the bottom clips out worked without damaging the plastic.

yep will post photos as I go jalal.. its not going to happen overnight though ( i havent even bought any parts for the install yet!!!)

Tim,

Take your time, there is no rush and you can post photos when everythings is done.

Be sure to take photos of the install process, this what matters most emoticon
