Yeah, rub it in. emoticon
I bet my 'other' car is faster. emoticon

That was the first time I pushed it hard off the mark and it surprised me, especially from 60-90.

What do you want to stop?

a. Going over 190kms/hour?
b. Disabling the cruise control to cut-off, which is a safety feature?

emoticon

As far as I know the cut-off point in terms of speed of the exy (which is set by the factory) is 180kms/hour. That is on a stock exy emoticon

Re: how fast ?

Well Keiron, I'm not sure about you, but personally I wouldn't want to be traveling at a speed of over 140kms/hour WITH cruise control! I would want to have TOTAL control of my car and feel everything.

I'm not even sure it can be done at all with the factory cruise, why would you??

If you're planning to go above that speed with a cup of coffee in hand, then I don't feel the forum can and should help you kill yourself emoticon

Re: how fast ?

I live in the NT and can vouch that the exe will sit on 160km/h, for long distances very comfortably (if you are happy to pay for the fuel emoticon)

I have a Series II and have found that the factory cruise does not work above 3500rpm (which is a bit under 140km/h in a manual).

As Jalal states - speeds higher than that and you should be questioning the use of cruise in a car like this anyhow.

My friends WRX factory restriction is 160km/h.

Re: how fast ?

yeah it probably is an rpm regulated thing...and i agree with both of you that the cruse control is limited for road safety reasons, as well as speed, and would not consider actually changing, or trying to change those limits in any way.

it was just a thought when i submitted the above post, a queery.

i dont wish to, or am i in the habbit of, breaking any legal limits.
