Re: how fast ?

Hi Robin,

Sorry, am not trying to throw a spanner in the works about the thread you have just started, but I'll be watching it closely emoticon

Any posts here in this regard can be used as admission of breaking the law if the "speed test" was not conducted in a "safe" and "controled" environment.

Just keep this in mind please.

Having said the above, you can post information about what other "overseas" xtrailers managed to get up to emoticon

I know of one xtrailer (overseas) who managed to get to 208Kms/Hour and he does NOT advise anyone of trying that, as he felt the exy was flying on the road (the steering was very light too)

Re: how fast ?

Well in keeping with forum rules i have had my exy over 100km/h on a few ocasions and found it to do it easily powerwise, however i found it to be fairly lofty, and wouldnt really like to take it much faster especially on a windy day.... afterall its an SUV not a Performance Car.

My Exy is unmodified engine/suspension wise.

Re: how fast ?

Hi,

Here is one from "overseas". I live in the Netherlands. My exy is a 2.5 Sport Outdoor, manual gearbox, without any modifications.

I took the exy to the Autobahn in Germany to legally try it´s top speed and I reach top speed at around 185 km/h (documentation states 187).

During top speed it handled well and I did not feel uncomfortable at any time, although I must honestly say that the light on the roof (Sport Outdoor version only) started whistling above 170km/h.

All in all I think the documented top speed is pretty accurate, but IMHO the accelaration from 0-100km/h is way faster then what documentation states (stated: 9.9s) since I easily outrun my Micra 1.3 (which states 9.7s).

Hope this helps,
Leo

Yep, NT has no speed restrictions outside built-up areas, unless otherwise signed.
