Glad you guys are able to source it in your area and hope the price works out good for all. As accessories go, I found it to be (surprisingly) inexpensive here.

Cheers.

Roger, there is only one last company am waiting to get pricing and more information from about this deflector, after that we will have 3 prices to display to members which includes the genuine Nissan one from Canada.

Are you in a position to help our forum members with a group-buy from Canada if enough interest is generated and the price proves to be competitive with the rest? emoticon

I will do all the hard work and you will only need to go to Nissan, place the order and pay for it.

It sure does look VERY secure indeed from the photos you have posted.

No Problems at all Spoony emoticon

It is actually a very good accessory and very useful one indeed (for those fortunate xtrailers with a sunroof) LOL

We'll see how we go and I might consider adding this accessory to the On Line X-Trail Shop line-up of products at a later stage.

The group-buy can still be organised depending on Roger's response and the information am waiting for from the other company am chasing.

Hi Jalal:

It has given me pleasure already to have helped out several members of the forum on an individual basis - - I would be happy to help out a larger number with the group buy.

Have never done anything like this before and don't know the logistics of how it will all work, but I'm sure that with your experience at these things (and assuming that the Canadian price is competitive) we could make it happen.

Don't know if you plan to deal directly with Nissan Canada or some of the individual dealers, but it seems to me that the dealers can set their own individual prices when it comes to accessories.

You'll note from my earlier post that I scored the deflector at a lower price than the list price. And my dealer installed it free of charge.

That being said, I've also bought things from another dealer outside my home Province and paid less than I would have locally.

In any event, you do your thing and let me know how it's playing out and, at the appropriate time, I'll do my best to assist from this end.....

I do hope it works out for all.

Cheers = Roger

Thanks Roger, that is very kind of you indeed.

When the time comes, I'll coordinate everything with you and explain how we can finalize this deal with the best possible price and outcome for the group and minimal hassle to yourself.

Meanwhile guys, start registering your interest for this group-buy here!

Re: Sun roof wind deflector ?

Just to get back to the noise issue - I agree that the deflector is too noisy - it's one with 4 slots in it. But if I just pull the deflectro down by hand (it's sprung loaded), the noise is very much reduced. So I was thinking about coming up with some permanent arrangement to stop the deflector coming up.

Mind you - it might blow awy people in the back seat - but I don't sit there!!

Re: Sun roof wind deflector ?

I bet you the noise is caused by air going through those 4 slots, if you cover them it should greatly reduce. Just my guess and I don't have a sunroof.

Re: Sun roof wind deflector ?

I don't think stopping the deflector from coming up is a good idea really. I have also tried pulling it down and at speed and the slot between the roof of the car and the interior head lining (where the sun roof slides back into) fills up with air and starts things vibrating a bit ... I really don't know if that made any sense.

I hadn't thought much about filling the holes ... maybe I'll give it a go when it stops raining emoticon

Rain + Sunroof open = wetness emoticon

Re: Sun roof wind deflector ?

Hi Guys,

The manufacturer overseas has responded to me about the aftermarket sunroof visor and they will soon be sending me a sample to trial fit on exy here emoticon

Before we go a head with the group-by, I thought it'll be a good idea to see it up close and personal and test on an exy as well.

I will let you know when I receive it and I will then ask a member from Sydney with a sunroof to come-over and try it if they like.

The price is VERY competitive indeed, only problem is the minimum quantity that needs to be ordered, but am sure I can sort this out later if we're all happy with the quality.
